Our Litigation Department is a dynamic and experienced team which has pleaded in all the Québec courts, the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. Leonard E. Seidman, successfully pleaded the landmark Supreme Court Soucisse v. BNC case. Mr. Seidman has also successfully pleaded before the Supreme Court of Canada in the leading case on constructive dismissal, Farber v. Royal Trust, and on a question of mixed private and public international law in the case of Canada and Monit International v. Miller

Our litigation team is specialized in commercial and civil litigation in such areas as commercial real estate, collections, corporate and partnership disputes, insurance claims, products liability, personal injury, professional liability, and judicial review of administrative decisions. The work of our litigators also includes administrative hearings in matters of Labour Standards, Liquor Permits, the Rental Board, the Energy Board, and before the penal courts. The firm's expertise includes liquor infractions, construction industry infractions, and Highway Code offences. This department also appears in contested matters involving estate litigation, wills, and trusts. We are also developing our practice in the area of class actions for claims against public utilities, financial institutions and municipalities.
